ABOUT EMILY

As a third generation designer, I’ve loved home design as long as I can remember.

My grandfather owned an interior design business, and my childhood memories are full of walking through new construction homes and open houses, browsing home decor stores, and shopping at local flea markets. 

My mom gave me the freedom to design my room as a child, and I changed it up every few years. I loved the process of selecting paint colors, fabrics, and decor that reflected me. This gained the attention of my friends when I was young, and my interior designs continued to be admired by my peers in college and beyond.

With the introduction of social media, I was able to keep sharing my personal design projects even through moving seven times, getting married, and having three children. People kept loving what I was doing, making me realize I wanted an outlet to be able to share more of my passion and skill with others. This led to the birth of Emily Cogdill Design, a place for home inspiration, design services all over the United States, and tried-and-true product recommendations.

My goal at ECD is to help you find the joy of a well-designed space just as I’ve found for myself. I try to understand each person I work with to give you a home that’s uniquely yours. I believe where we live should be inspiring and functional, and I’m here to help you realize all the benefits of home your way.
